Hello Ladies,

Spring is creeping into North Carolina.  Some of the trees are already in bloom and so are some of the tulips.  How are your new goals, resolutions and promises going so far, this year?  I've decided to "Walk the Talk" this year and have my biggest goal yet to complete.

I hope you all are planning to not miss this year's She-She Retreat.  If you haven't put down a deposit, it is NOT to late.  Do it this week.  I'd love to see you on your first retreat or welcome you back for another deserved long weekend of rest, relaxation and replenishment!

SheShe!

Walking the Talk...

Off My Bucket Listtaylor fudge training
You know the new movie that is out with Morgan Freeman Jack Nicholson regarding how folks should have a list of things that they want to accomplish before they "kick the bucket"? Well, let it be known that I Taylor Sparks am knocking one of those items off of my list this year.

Swim, Bike Run
Most of you know that I have completed two marathons and a sprint triathlon while raising money for the Leukemia Society.  About a year after that event, one of my team mates, who wasn't much better of a swimmer than I, completed his first Ironman Triathlon.  I was blown away by what he had accomplished physically and mentally in such a short period of time.  So a couple of years ago I had decided to complete a Half-Ironman Triathlon. (I have no desire to run a full marathon again. I'm just too slow).

The Committment
Wanting to get my body in even better shape and to give myself a mental and physical challenge, I have signed up to complete the Florida Half-Ironman, May 18th of this year.  The race  includes a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run and I have 8 hours to complete the race.

What Are You Crossing Off Your List?
So what are you crossing off of your list this year? What are you waiting for? More time? More money? Slimmer thighs? More eduation?  If you haven't noticed life isn't waiting on you.

Lean Into The Wind
When times get hard, lean in.  When money gets short, lean in. When your faith is tested, lean in.  When you are lonley, lean in. When your body is weak and tired, lean in. When you think that you aren't good enough, lean in. When you want to make some changes in your life, make some changes in your life and lean in.  It's hard to knock over something or someone that is leaning into the wind.  And if you do fall down, fall on your back, 'cause if you can look up, you can get up and lean in.

Friends...You Know Who You Are

Last night, my friend and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

She got up, unplugged the TV, and threw out my wine.

She's such a bitch!
