2006 SHE-SHE/POO-POO TIME™ RETREATA
4 DAYS/3NIGHTS RESORT STAY
BREEZES RESORT & SPA
PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
How do I convey the fun of the 2006 retreat to the Breezes Resort in Punta Cana? It was fun, relaxing and fulfulling! We had more than 20 women from several states and we spread out and took over as much of the resort as we needed. There were a lot of first for a number of us...ATVing (4-wheeling) on the beach, horsebacking riding, jungle tours, tasting coconut "milk" and the "meat" straight from the tree and a couple of "accidental" topless swims and an "on-purpose" topless sunbathing. We'll have to blame that on all of the Europeans that were doing their traditional thing on the beach! Great shopping, plenty of food and drinks. Breezes is a very accommodating resort. The weather was beautiful every day with a nice tropical breeze on the beach. They do aim to please.

2006 Punta Cana Afterwords...
"I had a really good time in Punta Cana. I did not want to leave. The resort was absolutely beautiful. It stayed hot and I stayed toasted. Everyday I got up early, had breakfast, layed on the beach, layed by the pool, had lunch, layed on the beach, had dinner, went to the bar, went to the disco and drank in between those times. I had a blast. And there were some really great women from all over on this trip. I had breakfast and/or dinner with some good women. It was a lot of fun. A wonderful and memorable trip shared with some GREAT women."
Malika B., Boston, MA
"Jurassic Safari was a great tour and I recommend it - Resort food and drinks were sometimes good and sometimes weak/bad - Resort was generally great but room amenities were lacking - - Staff were always helpful and friendly - Not enough A/C ! This was my first real getaway vacation ( I did it!!) and now I want more! People, places and fun things to do! It's never too late. Great opportunity to connect with people outside my insular world. Thanks y'all !!! It's been hard getting back to the grind but there'll be more fun times, I'm sure."
Terry P., Cambridge, MA
"For me, just being on the beach and relaxing and looking out and sseeing the crystal clear water and nothaving anyone call my name ans ask me for sh*t, made my whole weekend. What really made my weekend was having my aromatherapy massage on the beach. I didn't hear any noise but the se and the smell of the incense burning. It was truly SheShe!!!! Thanks Taylor, I really enjoyed myself."
Stacey W., Boston, MA

"The event was a connection to what my friends and I do and I do-relaxation. It solidifies what we already do. This needs to be reinforced for many women."
Vanessa S., Farmington, MI

FAQ's
Q. What makes She-She/Poo-Poo Time Retreats so special?
A. Our trips are special because they focus on the one thing that most women never get enough of...doing nothing! Our trips are about you doing exactly what you want to do or don't want to do. We don't schedule you for lots of activities and tours. You want to sleep for 5 days/4 nights...fine. You want to lay by the pool for 5 days/4 nights...fine. You want to shop...until you drop...back by the pool? Fine.
Q. You mention "grown women only", what is the age limit?
A. Women 21 years of age and over are welcome on our retreats. A grown woman knows how to "act accordingly" while out. No one needs to check up on her to make sure she is doing "the right thing"-she does what she wants and takes full responsibility for her actions. A grown woman knows how not to fall off the bar stool in her stilettos!
Q. Are your retreats for African-American women only?
A. No, our retreats are for all women of all races. Some of my caucasian friends just haven't made the retreat. (Come on you all, people are starting to talk!) We welcome all grown women!
Q. Is there a payment plan available?
A. Yes, contact Joyce Davis of the Joy Cruises and Tours link above.
Q. Why do you think women need to spend time with just each other? Isn't spending time with your family and/or significant other just as important?
A. Yes, spending time with your family and/or significant other is "just" as important, but not "more" important than spending time with yourself. Statistically, women have (or take on) more than 60% of the household chores and childcare even if they work outside of the home at a full-time job. We are over worked, over scheduled and fill our lives with what we believe are "Gotta do's". There are 52 weekends in the year. May I be so bold as to suggest that you take one (1) long one just for yourself, to do absolutely nothing! There is a book out by Professor Shelley Taylor titled "The Tending Instinct: How Nurturing Is Essential To Who We Are And How We Live". In it Professor Taylor explains the effects of stress on us and our natural nurturing instincts. I heard Dr. Phil say on a past Oprah show to a woman with children..."Do you love your children?" She responded yes. He went on to say that "If you love your children as much as you say you do, then you will take care of their mother." What better way to do that than with friends relaxing and bonding.
